Sunday Rewards

October 21, 2012

Winners of the raffle have been drawn, and we made almost a thousand dollars for the George Mark House! Thank you, friends, with all my heart. (Emails are going out now, more will go out as people pick their favorite of my sweaters.)

Now, for your rewards!

This is a whole pile of ridiculous cute. I don't know how we work under these conditions.

Lala bought a cat hammock. (It's stated aim is to "reduce clutter." How? By putting away our cats?) I bet her five bucks we wouldn't get a cat in it. Within four minutes of its installation, I'd lost that money.

And rather than give you the sloths or kittens I promised you, I give you something better. If you haven't seen this, enjoy. If you have, watch it again. Your heartrate will go down and your hopes for the world will rise, I promise.

Isn't that just the heart-happiest video? I swear it's my favorite of all the millionty-billionty videos I've watched in the wee hours of the night.

What's your heart-happiest video? Wanna share it in a Sunday come-together meetin' here at Yarnagogo?

Totally reduces clutter! Assuming you’re using it instead of a cat bed, anyway; gets stuff off the floor. Love it. And, so cute!

Maybe not as “Heart-happy” but definitely hysterically funny is Matt Cain of the SF Giants throwing baseballs at different things (with Kari & Tory from the Mythbusters). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_5XyMUwDMc&feature=youtu.be&a

I have two – even if you’ve seen them before, they are happy videos — the best kind.

Ohio University’s marching band doing Gangnam Style — what I adore about this video is imagining the practices and HOW MUCH LAUGHING there must have been.

That video was lovely. I’ve seen it once before but it still gave me a feeling of wonderment. Makes me ask myself what that stunning creature was thinking – it could have been something esoteric or just ‘I wish they’d play a polka.’ A great way to start the last day of my two weeks holiday. Thank you so much for posting it Rachael.

We used to have an old wingback recliner and the reclining mechanism made a shelf underneath the chair when closed up and Bob liked to hide up in there. Seems like the cat hammock is similar.

My cat Boris would totally love a cat hammock, as would my son Murphy because if Boris sleeps in the hammock it might reduce the number of mornings Murf wakes up with a cat sleeping on his face (I kid you not!). My daughters had a triangular hammock which was intended to be hung in a corner and filled with stuffed animals. Same idea maybe- keep animals off the floor?
