Sleeve

February 6, 2004

I’m working a sleeve! Yowzer! Lookee:

DSCN48391.jpg

And darling Rob, who supplied this Kersti goodness, pointed out that it’s not size that matters. Ahem. The number of stitches are going to be the same, no matter what size needles you’ve got. This sweater is going to take a while, I tell ya. It has a LOT of stitches. It’s so satisfying, but it is NOT mindless. And the scary thing is that it only has two (out of four) difficulty stars in the book. Good lord. A four-star might kill me.

I’m at work, my Monday, starting a 14 hour shift. On my way in this morning, I talked to Bethany; she was on the ferry, her head hanging over the rail, watching the school of dolphins below. I’m jealous. But in a good you’d-better-take-pictures kind of way. Hope she knits on the beach.

Gasp! Squeal! That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. You’re in cahoots with Rob, aren’t you? AREN’T YOU? What do you get if I go running over for some Kersti of my own? Huh? Level with me. You think I’m that easy to break? (Rob: I can hear your “YES” from here.)
    You’re amazing, doll.

I love your blog and am getting inspired to try Cromarty after seeing yours – it rocks. I remember you were thinking of using Classic Elite Lush but decided against it. I wanted to let you know that the new Interweave Knits has a pattern using Lush that you might like.

Wow – splendiferous cables!! Just gorgeous. I’m pea green with envy – but you can keep the microscopic needles ๐Ÿ™‚

I absolutely love that colour! The sleeve is looking good. Cables etc. scare me – not by themselves but the idea of a sweater covered in them? That’d take me forever to finish.

Absolutely fabulous. You’re making me want to stop what I’m working on and start the aran I’ve got lined up for my husband – I love cables! I really do need to get my hands on some AS patterns…
