I love the fact that someone in the red boat looks like they are having a fit of the vapours :0)whilst another member of the crew seems to be holding their hand on their heart in supplication. I like the banner especially as it look cold as only Venice can be in March and makes me thankful I walk by water each day not have to boat on it. Clever is also a word that comes to mind but also Sleep – you do need some you know :0)
I like your new banner too — very colorful! But what I love best of all is your picture of the Venice Ladies – when I saw they weren’t in their ususal spot (not realizing you had moved them to the right hand column) I thought, “oh, no!”. Banners come and go, but Venice Ladies should always remain.
It’s awesome. I’ve seen a couple of those flags up in windows in my neighborhood, or at least the old Italian part of it. Nice when you can walk by a walk-up with a Pace flag right next to a house with a shrine to Mary.
I read a good review of The L Word in Entertainment Weekly–said much the same as you, although thought the opening credits were a bit much, with all the various l-words OTHER than lesbian flashing on the screen…is it true that “limpid” is one of them? Because that’s pretty funny.
Oh, please leave it! This is probably the closest that I will get get to Venice for quite some time…At least I can look it when I visit your blog every day! ๐ And, by the way, I really do love visiting your blog every day to see the beautiful pieces that you are making and to read the interesting/fun things that you are saying…
Love the new banner. And temptress that you are, I’ve bought the rogue pattern, even though I will have no time to knit it until probably summer. Sigh.
love the banner! you have such a great eye and the rainbows are perfect.
between venice and rogue you have my mind wandering all over the place this week!

I love! Keep it. I love the PACE flag. There was one hung on my way to work this summer and I smiled everyday when I saw it!
I like it Rachael. Change can be good. Keep it. ๐
Banner? Love it. Thanks for the Rogue link. I’m very tempted…..
I say Hurrah for anything Italian. Of course it just makes me miss it all the more, but oh well! =)
Viva la pace! Colorful and good, my friend. Let’s keep it up there. OH, and what’s the yarn on that thing Beth’s not supposed to look at?
