Craft Tip: I often make playlists of songs that feel like the piece I’m working on, and even if I can’t be writing, I can be hearing the music that’s inspiring me.

Hi Rachael, I’m 57 and do all my drafting using the full feature text editor app I installed on my phone. I have also done line edit level reviews this way, though the content edits I’m now struggling with have forced me to print my manuscript and revert back to first pass by hand. I would be tempted to use my laptop more often but there’s this problem of how to fit it in my pocket when I’m on the go. One other technique I do use for editing is to pass the manuscript through a text to mp3 engine then read on screen while listening to the playback.
