Now would be a good morning to say:
Think about Stitches West. Less than a month away! Seriously, if you’re in the Western Hemisphere (alison, you’re the only one from whom I’ll accept an excuse), you should come. Mariko and I are planning on Friday breakfast in Jack London Square at Jack’s, followed by a morning of excess at the Marketplace, and possibly lunch at Le Cheval (I haven’t asked her about that one yet…) I have to work all day Saturday, but I’ll be back on Sunday for a class and more shopping.
You know you wanna.
Absolutely too damn sleepy to write much more today. Yesterday I had lunch AND dinner out, and both meals were heavy Italian creamy pasta dishes with a beer. My pants SO don’t fit right today. And all that food kept me awake, so instead of going to sleep at ten and getting up at four this morning (had to be at work at five), I finally got to sleep about one-thirty. And why is it that on the nights I can’t sleep, Digit can’t either? He growls and paces at the windows, using my hips for purchase to get at the window next to my bed (and he had more to purchase last night, that’s fer sure).
This is painful. I’m a sleep-gal. Not that good at it, but it’s my favorite sport. Need. More. Coffee. Want some?
It’s your Friday! You did it! (and thanks for the EXCELLENT comments. What would I do without you?)
*yawn*

I have not forgotten you Rachael. I really had nothing intelligent to offer you this past week, but you were definitely in my thoughts. Grab a cuppa Joe, and have a lovely weekend!

God, you’ve updated alot since I was here last. Which was like a day ago. I love that line “and he had more to purchase last night, that’s fer sure.” Had to laugh. Out loud. That was me last night too. Heavy Italian dinner. Weird dreams. And feeling bigger today. Why, oh why do I do this to myself?
Must go see “Big Fish”. If you are into a book where you will sob, read “Time Traveller’s Wife”. I cannot stop raving about it.
Now I am off to investigate this sweater that Mariko mentioned in your comments. Might be just what I need…

I started the rogue-along, along with Kate and Steph…come play? ๐

Hey Rachael, I am sorry to hear it was such a rough night. I hope you have a more relaxing weekend filled with lots of productive knitting.

From one sleepy gal to another…here’s to another cuppa coffee.
I don’t have a sleepless night to blame just too much lunch and a grey Ohio day. Temp here right now 13 degrees – with wind chill it’s 0.
I think we should start a web-ring for knit blogger’s with non-traditional work schedules – what do you think?
Hugs!
Ann says
Hey Teresa, can stay-at-home parents in non-traditional work schedule families play, too? ๐
And Rachael, you have no idea how much I was hoping to come to SW. But the strong possibility of getting to MOVE HOME on Feb 20th is a pretty damn good consolation prize. More yarn stock for you, though ๐
Mariko says
How funny that you mention Le Cheval! We are probably going to go to dinner there on Thursday! But as you know, there is NO Vietnamese food in SLO County, so I don’t care how many times we go there!

Bad sleep is the worst. Last night I dreamt that PBS was actually a brainwashing tool of a totalitarian leadership. I’m WAY out of it this morning. NO IDEA where that came from.
Rachel says
Hey Rach,
Sorry the food did you wrong. We seriously couldn’t think of any other restaurants that were good in the area and not closed. I was rudely awoken thrice last night (not including the alarm at 0530). Two groups of drunken asses loud as town criers passes beneath my bed chamber window about two hours apart, and Kira got up for something in the wee hours. Next thing you know it’s “rise and shine” you’ve got to be to work in 15 minutes. I wish us both good sleep tonight.
Maeve says
Thanks so much, Rachael! Peachy is drying right now- hopefully I can bust it out on monday. ๐ Hope you can catch up on your sleep tonight! ๐
