Anna

August 16, 2012

You know what I love most about a Cocoknits pattern? How wearable her clothes are. I've seen women trying on her trunk shows, and her sweaters flatter so many body types. I actually saw this on Julie and although it's not typically my style, I knew I had to have one.

And I love it.

I was super careless making this. I made most of it poolside in LA and finished it at Outsidelands in Golden Gate Park, and there are dropped stitches (whoops!) and strange decreases, and the front is longer than the back (or maybe that's the back… Hmm). And it still looks great. (I made it in Shibui Knits Heichi, wonderful heavy silk.) Super easy pattern with interesting construction. Good summer knit.

LOVE.IT! One of my friends is knitting this as a sample for one of our LYSs. It looks terrific, Rachael!! I think I must have one.

Love it! I’m thinking it might be a good FIRST SWEATER project . . . Thanks for posting about it!

I will chime in to add that I actually noticed the dropped stitches and assumed they were part of the pattern. That’s what asymmetry does for ya, folks!

Ooh! Look at that! I don’t think I know Cocoknits patterns at all – must investigate! Most cute and slinky and “now”-looking! And can I say your hair is looking lovely too ๐Ÿ™‚

Looks like just the thing to slip overtop a bathing suit.
I second the hair comment too, both look great!

I really like this. My knitting has been scarves, wraps, & socks. I may have to branch out into something like this with arms. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s beautiful. I will check Cocoknits out for sure.

Great sweater! It can dress up the simplest outfit. I’m gonna make it too!

I love, love, LOVE this pattern. Thank you for showing it made up and on a real body; you look FAB in it! I must have one, getting out the sticks now!

I love this pattern – it is a must do – it looks so asymmetric and comfortable, which I love. Your new haircut rocks! Just got mine cut again Friday (very asymmetric LOL) but I might just have to change my mind and grow it out and change my colour – everyone likes it but I find it boring! Have a great day, Rachael and – Lala was right!

Beautiful sweater, fits you great, looks elegant (expensive) and simple/creative.
    Love,

You know, that almost makes me re-think my stance on asymmetric items. Like it.

Oh I LOVE that! (Darling on you, btw.). I’ve knit her Liesl pattern twice, because I wear it constantly. Con. Stant. Ly. Maybe this Anna pattern can help break up the Liesl addiction…

I love Coco Knits. You hit it on the nose, her patterns are wearable. I have a Liesl that I get compliments on all the time.
